Drinking rules
General
- At the start of each Production Phase, add up the values of all of your Production Tracks and give away half that many sips, distributed among the other players as you see fit
- Whenever you raise the Oxygen level, give away a number of sips equal to the new oxygen percentage, distributed among the other players as you see fit
- Whenever you raise the Temperature, give away 1 sips per degree increased.
Tile Placement
- Whenever you place an ocean tile, give away 1 shot.
- Whenever you place a City Tile, take 3 sips
- Whenever you place a Greenery Tile give away 3 sips
- Whenever another player places a City Tile next to one of your Greenery Tiles, take 4 sips for each of your Greenery tiles adjacent to that City Tile.
- Whenever you place a Special Tile, give away 1 shot
Projects, Milestones and Awards
- Whenever you purchase a Standard Project, drink 1 sip per MC paid divided by 4.
- Whenever you purchase a Milestone, drink 1 sip if you’re first, 3 if you’re second, and 5 if you’re third
- Whenever you unlock an award, take 5 sips
Playing and using cards
- Whenever you play an event card, everyone else takes 2 sips
- Whenever you gain a pet or a microbe, give away 1 sip
- Whenever you lose a pet or a microbe take 1 sip
Resource production
- Whenever you are forced to decrease any of your Production Tracks, take 1 sip per step reduced.
- Whenever you increase any of your Production Tracks, give away 1 sip per step increased.
Why it’s a good drinking game:
With a fairly long playing time and plenty of ways to antagonize your opponents, Terraforming Mars is an excellent way to spice of an evening of drinks with your friends. The joy of building a city next to three of your opponents’ Greeneries just gets a little sweeter when it’s served with a side of Cosmo!
